Overview
Zhejiang Hospital was founded in 1954 under the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission, becoming the first foreign-related medical designated hospital in Zhejiang Province. Initially focused on cadre healthcare and foreign-related medical services, it fully opened to the public in 1979. In 2018, the Sandun Campus was put into use and designated as "Zhejiang Provincial Geriatric Medical Center." In December 2020, it became a non-affiliated teaching hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Integrating medical care, teaching, research, prevention, and healthcare, the hospital currently operates two campuses (Lingyin and Sandun) with approximately 1,500 open beds and 2,576 staff members. With cadre healthcare and geriatrics as its specialties, the hospital is a construction unit of the National Geriatric Regional Medical Center, leading provincially and advancing nationally in systematic management of geriatric syndromes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention and treatment, and critical care medicine.
