Women's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (WHZJU) was founded in 1951 as the guiding center for obstetrics and gynecology medical care, teaching, research, family planning, and women's health in Zhejiang Province. Integrating medical care, teaching, research, prevention, and healthcare, it is one of the largest specialized obstetrics and gynecology hospitals in China. With three campuses (Hubin/Xueshi Road, Qianjiang, and Linping), the hospital has 1,520 authorized beds, over 2,000 staff members including more than 200 senior experts with associate senior titles and above. As the leading construction unit of the National Obstetrics and Gynecology Regional Medical Center, it has ranked 3rd nationwide among obstetrics and gynecology hospitals (including maternal and child health hospitals) in the national tertiary public hospital performance assessment for four consecutive years, firmly maintaining its position in the "First Tier" nationally. The hospital handles 1.6 million annual outpatient visits, admits nearly 80,000 inpatients annually, and delivers over 20,000 babies per year. Gynecologic Oncology
National clinical key specialty construction project, one of the largest rare gynecologic tumor prevention and treatment centers in China with 100% disease coverage. Full-chain innovation system in cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, and gestational trophoblastic tumors. Professor Wang Hui's team developed "preserve cervix, preserve uterus, preserve ovary" function-preserving treatment protocols, enabling over 1,000 patients to retain fertility over ten years with a 60% fertility rate, reaching internationally advanced levels.
Obstetrics
National clinical key specialty, over 20,000 deliveries annually. Technologically leading in high-risk pregnancy management, labor analgesia, and critical maternal rescue.
