The Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (SAHZU) was founded in 1869 as Guangji Hospital, the birthplace of Western medicine in Zhejiang Province and one of China's earliest Western medical schools. As one of the first Grade 3 Class A hospitals nationwide, SAHZU upholds "Patients and Service Objects First" as its core value, renowned at home and abroad for comprehensive treatment of major diseases and refined medical quality management.
