Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (SRRSH) was officially established in 1994 through the generous donation of renowned Hong Kong industrialist Sir Run Run Shaw and matching support from the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. Integrating medical care, teaching, and research, it is the first public hospital in mainland China to pass JCI international hospital accreditation and the first member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network in China. Renowned for the "SRRSH Model," the hospital leads nationally in minimally invasive medicine, modern hospital management, and international healthcare services. It currently operates six campuses (Qingchun, Qiantang/Xiasha, Shuangling, Grand Canal, Shaoxing, and Alaer) with 4,300 authorized beds and over 8,200 staff members. 1. JCI Pioneer: In 2006, became the first public hospital in mainland China to pass JCI international hospital accreditation, passing four consecutive high-score re-accreditations. It is the only medical complex in China of equivalent scale with two campuses simultaneously JCI-accredited.

1. General Surgery/Minimally Invasive Surgery: National clinical key specialty led by President Cai Xiujun. With minimally invasive technology as its hallmark, minimally invasive surgeries account for 80% of total procedures. Internationally leading in minimally invasive precision diagnosis and treatment of liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic cancers. Possesses the only national-level engineering research center in the minimally invasive field nationwide. Pioneered internationally original techniques including complete laparoscopic two-stage hemihepatectomy using round-the-liver ligation and stent-based intestinal anastomosis.
2. Obstetrics and Gynecology/Reproductive Medicine: National clinical key specialty (Reproductive Health and Infertility). The reproductive center, established in 1998, produced Zhejiang Province's first ICSI IVF baby. Over 10,000 egg retrieval cycles annually with nationally leading clinical pregnancy rates.
