Overview
Children's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZCH) was founded in 1951 as the earliest established and largest Grade 3 Class A comprehensive children's hospital in Zhejiang Province. It is also the first children's hospital in the Yangtze River Delta and among the first nationwide to simultaneously possess both the National Clinical Research Center for Child Health and Diseases and the National Children's Regional Medical Center. Integrating medical care, teaching, research, prevention, and healthcare, the hospital's comprehensive strength firmly ranks in the first tier of children's hospitals nationwide. With three campuses (Binjiang, Hubin, and Moganshan), the hospital has 2,900 authorized beds and 3,805 staff members. As one of the first batch of national key disciplines in pediatrics under the Ministry of Education, it possesses all national clinical key specialties in the pediatric field, leading nationally in innovative application of cutting-edge pediatric technologies including Da Vinci robotic surgery, pediatric ECMO, artificial heart, pediatric organ transplantation, and CAR-T cell therapy. In the 2022 national tertiary public hospital performance assessment, it ranked 2nd among children's hospitals nationwide with the highest A rating for specialized hospitals.
